Mercedes-Benz is slated to debut the all-new 2012 S350 BlueTec 4MATIC at the upcoming 2011 Detroit Auto Show, giving joy to American diesel fans for the new year. The vehicle, touted as an entry-level model for Merc’s S-Class, sports the BlueTec V6 turbo power plant coupled with 4MATIC all-wheel drive functionality.

The BlueTec can not only satiate power requirements by fans, but also
offers a greener alternative compared to most diesels. The S350 BlueTec
4MATIC is slotted under both the S550 V8 variant and the S400 Hybrid,
but with decent figures like 210 horsepower along with 400 lb-ft of
torque, it’s not a bad deal at all.

Expect more details about this model once the auto show opens its
doors for the press screening. The Detroit Auto Show, also known as the
North American International Auto Show, is set to start January 10 for
the press, with the public viewings scheduled from January 15 to 23.
