2013 SL63 Shows Up At The Nurburgring

Shown testing at the Nurburgring, the 2013 SL63 AMG has been captured on camera, with the minimal disguise revealing some details. Most noticeably, the new SL-Class has larger intakes and revised contours to its front spoiler. Although the car in profile is unmistakably an SL, hints of the SLS and CLS can be seen in the car’s nose.
Larger wheels hide bigger rotors and calipers while trapezoid-shaped
quad exhausts complement the diffuser’s angular lines. These combine to
give the car a more modern look. Expectedly, the car will feature AMG’s
570 horsepower twin-turbo V8, which should make it a match for BMW’s
mid-size M cars that will also feature a new biturbo V8. The new S-Class
is expected to be released within a few months, so the AMG version
should not be far behind. If recent Mercedes actions are to be
considered, look for the SL63 AMG at one of the upcoming automobile
shows.
