Displayed in a gorgeous pearlescent matte-white finish, the C63 AMG Cabrio looked absolutely pornographic against a completely dark background at the New York International Auto Show. Funny enough, the matte body finish played perfectly against the idiotic lighting Mercedes featured on the showroom floor, which made the non-matte cars look shiny, reflective, and smudgy.
The new “baby” AMG is powered by two very different, but equally majestic engines. Should you choose the “plain” C63, you’ll get a V6 biturbo engine with a total output of 469 horsepower. But if you go with the big boy C63 AMG S, you’ll be deeply rewarded with 503 horsepower from a V8 biturbo power plant. It’s also worth noting that both models feature high-performance all-wheel drive.
I think it’s fair to say that either version would make for a gloriously scenic drive with the top down.
