Is AIRMATIC Worth It on the W205 C-Class?
One of our forum members, ProV1, has posed an interesting question, which generated quite a bit of conversation. But we wanted to go a bit further in depth with it and ask our entire populace: When looking for a new Mercedes-Benz W205 C-Class, do you get the AIRMATIC suspension or not?
Personally, I’ve found the AIRMATIC suspension to be highly superior to the regular steel springs, but then again, I’m not paying the bill when the air suspension goes kaput. What makes it harder is that there are three separate choices in steel suspension, depending on how you option the car.
In the end, there is no right or wrong answer. If you are going to choose between the different possibilities, you need to go out and try them for yourself. That’s the only way to accurately get an impression.
Where you may be able to offer your insight is into whether the steel spring or AIRMATIC system is problematic. That will go much further than our own impressions of the two systems. Head on over to the thread to offer your insight.
