AMG GT Gets Reimagined as a Sedan

A few months ago, when the AMG GT was first being introduced to the world, AMG’s boss, Tobias Moers, stated that the in-house tuning arm for Mercedes could once again strike out on its own and create something wholly AMG. Much like the AMG GT.

According to the CEO (via autoevolution), the division “could have a standalone four door sports car” very similar to that of a Tesla Model S or a Porsche Panamera. However, Moers also stated that the architecture that underpins the AMG GT would not be “feasible for that, though.”

Those statements, however, haven’t stopped car design and rendering wizard, Theophilus Chin, from imagining what a four-door AMG GT could look like. In short, it looks better than the coupe, although that’s just one man’s opinion.

The car has been elongated, but in a very stylish sort of way. The entire design of the car looks more refined as a four-door sedan than it does as a coupe. The AMG GT is a rather striking car, but I wouldn’t say it’s definitively pretty. This, however, this is absolutely beautiful. Let’s just hope that Mercedes and AMG come to an agreement that this car needs to be built.
