Mercedes has decided to throw their fans in Japan a bone with a special “performance studio edition” C63 AMG. AMG’s Performance Studio is thier in-house customization branch of AMG, and this car is something like a showcase for their group in Japan. The result is an impossibly black and utterly cool C63. It’s also really expensive.

The paint is a matte black abyss with a stain sheen. This is what those rattle-can “matte” black paint jobs aspire to be. It’s hard to see in these pictures, but its also got a carbon fiber trunk lip and red calipers to match the striped wheels.
It’s not just flash though. AMG also saw fit to give the C63 a bump in horsepower from 451 to an even 480. That might not be Black territory, but it’s a healthy boost to an already incredible amount of power.
The most shocking part about this car has to be the interior. Red leather seats. Red stitching. Red accents on the steering wheel. Red, red, red. To be fair, it’s a consistent theme that matches the wheels and even the calipers. Personally I don’t mind the look, but you could probably have the Performance Studi change the color theme to whatever you like. At a cost, of course.
If you want one, you’re going to have to move to Japan, because that’s the only place you’ll be able to get it. But if that’s not a problem, be ready to shell out about 15 million Yen, or about $192,000.
Ouch.
