The Mercedes SL600 boasts a V12 BiTurbo engine with an engine control unit (ECU) to automatically ensure maximum engine performance. To keep optimal power, this Benz has been de-catalyzed, meaning the power-stealing smog control device has been removed. The result is a Mercedes with 550 HP to the wheels.

While this SL is certainly impressive, it just can’t keep pace with the BMW M6 and its screaming V10. The vid starts out civilized enough. But as soon as the Mercedes comes into view, the BMW drops the hammer. Soon the roar of the M6 takes over, and we’re taken for a wild and loud ride down the strip. One can just imagine the pull of acceleration and rush of adrenaline the driver feels as the BMW’s powerful V10 kicks in. With the SL600 failing to keep pace, the M6 takes the win. This time.
