Brabus Decides Not to Wait for the C63 AMG
Because AMG is taking its sweet time on the C63, Brabus decided it was time for the new C-Class to get some upgrades. Thanks guys. The new W205 gets a host of upgrades from the stock car, such as some new body bits, a new exhaust, stickier rubber and a few different choices on tunes. Let’s start off with the exterior of the car.
I’m not a fan of the new C-Class body. I think it looks too melted for its own good, but the Brabus kit revitalizes the car and makes it much more aggressive. The car looks infinitely better. It looks tough. It looks like the previous-generation C63 AMG. The rear taillights still look a bit wonky, but the addition of a rear diffuser and AMG wheels set this car off.
As for power, this car isn’t the normal, “HOLY FREAKING GOD” Brabus we all know and love. That’s being saved for the new AMG version. But this car does offer a few performance upgrades. First off is a new sports quad exhaust system to give the base model a bit throatier of a noise and better aspiration. Second, you have the choice of two tunes: one for the base C200, and another for the diesel. Both tunes give a bit more power and reach the same 0-60 time.
This car is just the mere tipping point for the new C-Class. The AMG version is coming soon, and Brabus will inevitably build something amazing with it. Whereas this version is fast, the AMG will go straight to plaid. Let’s just hope Mercedes is inspired by this car’s design features when they are coming up with the final design details for the C63 AMG.
