baja mercedes c220

By all that is holy, I think I have stumbled across a new hero. A man that is so brave, intelligent, and wondrous that he should be put upon a pedestal and worshiped by all the petrolati.

His name is Devyn Roseman, and has created a Mercedes C220 Baja car.

The car features a new suspension setup with 4-inch extended control arms, massive, long-travel shocks with 800 pound springs, and gigantic tie rods. Oh, he also welded the diff and added enough speakers to rattle the dress off the hooker on the corner (he does live in L.A. after all). For when things go south, there is a bumper welded from angle iron.

Big props go out to Tavarish at Jalopnik who did the footwork finding this incredible creation, and a huge thanks to Devyn for building it. If you press that little play button below you can watch this menace in action. The best shots are the ones at night as this Merc goes sliding and bouncing around dirt lots with just one dim headlamp on the nose that is overpowered by two LED light bars. It is the quintessential definition of being a Hooligan. And I love it.

If anyone knows where I can find some rally suspension for a Mk VI Golf TDI, drop me a line. I have… plans…
