Small-sized Mercedes-Benz luxury vehicles that will compete with the BMW’s MINI brand are reportedly being planned by Daimler. However, no sources were cited in connection to this future plan of the German automobile manufacturer. The new models of Mercedes-Benz will be promoted in a different market segment from the Smart City Car. The technology used [...]
If you’d like a third-generation Mercedes-Benz A250, but you feel like it doesn’t quite pack the punch you require, you might want to check out German tuner Vath’s take. It makes some performance tweaks to get the car to 245 horsepower, which should be more than enough for those craving for some more out of the A-Class.
This tuned model is called the V25, and there’s quite a considerable package given to the car. For starters, the 2.0-liter engine has been tuned, and aside from the HP boost, it also gets to 288 pound-feet of torque. The numbers are up from 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet on the stock A250.
Seen in lightly-camouflaged guise late last year, the CLA 45 AMG has finally been revealed officially by Mercedes-Benz. As revealed by the cutaway, we can see a transverse-mounted four with a turbo. Elsewhere on the net, rumors say that this little jewel will displace 2 liters and have an output in the region of 360 hp. We can also see the all-wheel drive layout. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission should be a reality, with Mercedes’ Race Start function as a feature.
You know, I’m alright with this new “wel’ll-release-our-own-damn-spy-shots” thing from Mercedes. It gives us a pretty good look at their upcoming models without giving it all away. Of course, that excitement is doubled when it’s a car like the CLA45 AMG. Think of this car as amends for the A-Class AMG not making it’s way [...]
Now here’s something new. Instead of allowing the ever present spy photographers hanging around the ring to get a jump on their upcoming car, Mercedes has gone ahead and released their own spy shots. I guess we can’t really call them spy shots if they’re professionally taken from Mercedes, so we’re going to have to come [...]
From the looks of things, Mercedes has another hit on their hands with the new A-class. According to Autocar, MB boss Dieter Zetsche says that the launch of the A-class has been their most successful in the history of the company. They’re already taken 70,000 pre-orders for the A-Class in Europe alone. Part of the [...]
Brabus is best known for turning mild-mannered Mercedes into brutally powerful road cars. So it’s with a quizzical eye that we look on their latest work: the Brabus A-Class. To be fair, Brabus is deals in all Mercedes. It’s just that we’re used to seeing the fire breathing torque monsters that haunt the dreams of [...]
And it looks… a lot like a baby CLS. I guess that’s what we expected and Mercedes really has followed through in that regard. Even the front bumper is reminiscent of the 2012 CLS, complete with gaping scoops at the corner of it’s front bumper. I think it’s lost a little bit of elegance from [...]
And here we were thinking that the catching a golf ball in the SLS was a strange way to advertise. Mercedes seems to have shifted their focus from the super car driving caddy to the hot hatch driving youngsters of London. With the new A-Class on the horizon, it does make sense for them to [...]
The other day, we told you some information on the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG. We also showed spy photos to perk up your interest on Mercedes AMG’s new offer. As mentioned in my earlier post, the A45 AMG is a new breed of car because it is a hatchback that AMG developed, which is quite
