A Nissan GT-R driver likely got the surprise of a lifetime when a Mercedes SL55 AMG pulled up to the line for a drag race.

We’re pretty sure we know what happened behind the scenes of this video showing a G63 doing a 720.

Chris Harris got the chance to hammer on the all-new AMG GT around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Fortunately, he takes us along for the ride.

Apparently, when Kleeman engineers got behind the wheel of the SLS AMG, they said, “You know it’s great, but it could use an additional 140 horsepower.”

Getting behind the wheel of a fast car, such as a V12 Mercedes, is all fun and good until you hit a stretch of highway that has a 60-mph speed limit. If certain legislation passes in Montana, it looks as if that state will be the place to blast off in an AMG road rocket.

We just spotted the new Mercedes GLE Coupe undergoing its initial winter testing without much camouflage, and it sure looks like she’ll take the fight to BMW and their X6.

Graciously, playboy, car murderer, and stadium super truck racer, Dan Bilzerian, bought a G63 6×6 and immediately took it to the dunes!
