The W205 C63 AMG is set to use the brand-new 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that the AMG GT uses. It’s supposed to be more powerful, more efficient, and overall, just a better car … but there is just something missing: noise.
… but the seemingly perpetual tease will soon end. We now have a confirmed date for when we will finally get to see the new AMG GT in the flesh: next week.
Last week we brought you the noise from the new AMG GT. We all liked it around here. It wasn’t muffled by the turbos, which was pleasantly surprising. Now Mercedes has released a small video describing the new engine, and it’s honestly nothing short of brilliant.

Mercedes-Benz has cooked up a snack-sized container of alphabet soup: the 2015 GLA45 AMG. Its hand-built, direct-injected and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine serves up 355 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque.
