Mansory, surprisingly, didn’t go all freaky with the M1000, which is based on the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and left the exterior rather subdued. That’s a good thing because there’s 1,000 horsepower under the hood, making this sedan one of the best sleepers ever.
I’ve never thought that the 577 horsepower pumped out by the E63 AMG S-Model is not enough. Apparently, the guys over at Vath tuning have, and figure the car needs a 28-percent boost.
Apparently, when Kleeman engineers got behind the wheel of the SLS AMG, they said, “You know it’s great, but it could use an additional 140 horsepower.”
Kleemann modified the turbos, upgraded the ECU, added a better flowing exhaust system, increased the size of the intercoolers, and did a whole host of other subtle changes. The effect? 850 horsepower and 970 lb-ft of torque. Brilliant!
