With Mercedes’s new naming scheme coming into effect soon, a lot of the model names we all know and love are going away. The ML-Series is one such nameplate, and the crazy goons at Classic Car Club Manhattan decided to have a little fun with the change.

The new model will be dubbed GLE, and as the video so succinctly points out, the G in GLE stands for the German word Gelandewagen, or off-road vehicle. Despite being mostly used as a school run toy or a commuter car for urbanites, the ML63 is still an off-road machine at heart, so they take it off road. Through some snow. Sideways.

Yeah, it’s all kinds of awesome.

It is only a 60-second video, but this footage from some sort of snow driving event shows off all the best parts of drifting, off-road mayhem, and luxury SUVs. It’s more than you could ask for, all distilled into the essence of fun and electronic music.
