E55 AMG kills Camaro, then jousts with GT-R
Despite forum member “macko‘s” prowess with killing Camaros and giving GT-Rs a run for their money with his 2005 E55 AMG, Macko’s got a bit of a traction issue.
You see, you can have all the power in the world, but something many tuners or racers can forget is the need for good tires. Without super-sticky rubber, you won’t stay glued to the pavement … and you will only be able to tie in drag races against GT-Rs instead of clobbering them like Camaros. That seems to be the conclusion of this forum thread where these videos derive.
If Macko’s E55 AMG performs this well, traction issues and all, we can’t wait to see how it will do with a set of sticky drag radials.
