The Jaguar F-Type R, which retails at $104,000, has some serious stock numbers. A supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine puts out 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. That equates to 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph. Plus it has all-wheel drive. Then again, it also weighs more than 3,600 pounds.

The Mercedes-AMG GTS sits much more expensive at an MSRP of $130,000. It has a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 that boasts 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The AMG GTS also weighs more than 3,600 pounds and has a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds. That’s also stock. The GTS you see in this video, however, is not stock. As the photos show, it has an HG Motorsports Stage 2 and a tuned ECU, along with some other pieces.

Britain versus Germany . V8 versus V8. Stock versus Tuned. This was a close one, but everybody’s a winner with such sweet pipe music.
