Gallery: Mercedes at the 2014 LA Auto Show

The big news for Mercedes this year at the LA Auto Show was the Mercedes-Maybach S600. Does it measure up to the Grosser. Nope. Is it as much of a letdown as a Maybach 57? No. It’s just a really nice S600 that Mercedes says is the quietest sedan in the world. That’s not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s not exhilarating, either. OK, it will hit 60 from a standstill in five seconds, so there’s some exhilaration to be found. And let’s not kid ourselves: this is a 523-hp/600-lb-ft V12 Mercedes.
