Personally speaking, I’m not a big fan of the new C-Class Mercedes. It just doesn’t have the good looks, or the right engine choices for me as a consumer and an automotive enthusiast. Sure, the new 4.0L twin-turbocharged engine in the AMG is a tower of power, but it has lost a lot of its identity by becoming forced induction. The same can be said about the new Mercedes design language the C-Class has adopted. It’s just not there, and according to J.D. Power, the Initial Quality isn’t there either.

According to the report, the new 2015 Mercedes C-Class received J.D Power’s lowest possible rating, a massive blow to Mercedes since the last generation actually received an above average rating in the same category. J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study looks at owner reported problems within the first 90-days of ownership, and they didn’t find too many happy customers.

Many customers complained about the mechanical quality, the Powertrain quality, the body and interior quality, and really just the overall quality of the car, especially since it was put together by Mercedes. But do you think this is just teething pains, and that the new C-Class will get better over time? Or is this an underlying problem within Mercedes that the company needs to fix immediately?
