Lexus SC300 transforms into Mercedes-Benz SL

As long as there are cars rolling on the streets, tuners will stay in business. That’s if they’re able to offer what car manufacturers are unable to do so after selling their cars. That is why the aftermarket industry keeps flourishing. It’s all about giving car owners what they want and which they can’t get from their dealerships. And this holds true whether you’re driving a premium car made in Germany or a JDM car that was imported from the land of the rising sun.

But what happens if you mix the two together using some creativity and wit? A really cool transformation, that’s what. And that is exactly what happened to this Lexus SC300. Owned by a Japanese driver, this Lex was given the ultimate in makeover treatment. It was purposely modified to appear as a Mercedes-Benz SL.

Just take one quick look at its photo and tell us what you think. One thing’s for sure–that Japanese guy spent a lot of his resources pulling together the required work to make such a transformation possible. And only if it’s skin deep, we must admit that the level of detail is astounding. Of course, no one’s going to admit falling for the trick. Still, it’s amazing, isn’t it?
