Listen to the Crackle From the GLE 63 S AMG
When you were a child, did any of you ever believe that one day we’d have SUVs with almost 600 horsepower? Or how about a coupe SUV with close to 600 horsepower? No, I didn’t either. I may have wished that automakers would build them, but those were just doodles with crayons and jets coming out the back of an Excursion. Yet, here we are, and not only do we have multiple SUVs with more than 500 horsepower, but we also might be getting a 707 horsepower one too.
But today, we’re talking about the new GLE 63 S AMG and its 5.5L bi-turbo V8. She makes 585 horsepower, 560lb-ft of torque, and hits 60 just as fast as a Porsche 911 Carrera S. It is a truly staggering piece of automotive engineering. And today, we have a new video of it making all sorts of glorious and lovely noises under hard acceleration.
Just imagine yourself sitting in the driver’s seat getting your face torn off.
