Matt Farah Tracks the GLE63 AMG S

A few weeks ago, I was able to drive the new Mercedes GLE63 AMG S Coupe around California. I found it to be an absolute beast, and might have possibly jumped it a few feet into the air. Allegedly. However, one thing I didn’t get to do with the big bruiser SUV was lap it around an actual track. Thankfully, our friend Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire did just that.

In the team’s latest “One Take” video (below), Farah laps the GLE63 AMG S around Roebling Road Raceway outside of Savannah, Georgia. The GLE63 has 577 horsepower, and can get to 60 miles per hour in the time it takes you to finish this sentence. It also makes great noises while downshifting. Nice and loud BRAPS!

Here’s the rub, though, it costs $107,000 for the base package, and will definitely go much higher once you start tacking on packages. However, it is astonishingly fast, and fairly nimble once you get it going. Check it out.
