One of the benefits of being a Mercedes fan in Europe is that they have many more cool models to pick from than those of us in the States.

Take for example the more menacing variant of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class known as the Professional, which is revving up to make its return abroad after a nearly two-year hiatus.

The Europe-only model, known as the G 350 d, makes its return on a W463-bodied platform. With 245 horses on tap, power has been increased 33% compared with the previous model. Gas mileage has also been improved to 23.8 mpg, which is pretty decent given the massive size of the G-Wagen.

Unique styling cues include a blacked-out radiator grille and blacked-out wheels. The sinister Benz also has an optional off-road package that includes a protective grille, a roof rack, side running boards, and a load space finished with durable wood.

Here’s hoping Mercedes might one day make the model available here in the U.S.
