Mercedes Launches Classic SL Road Trip Program

There’s just something about hitting the open road abroad in a nice vintage automobile. Now, Mercedes-Benz is providing travelers with an opportunity to take in that experience in a classic convertible SL.

The program, known as Classic Car Travel, is centered around an unforgettable four-day road trip somewhere on the Mediterranean Coast and the chance to drive some vintage Mercedes-Benz SLs, including the W113 “Pagoda” and the R107 model.

The experience, offered for small groups of 18 people or less, is being conducted in partnership with Nostalgic GmbH, a driving experience company. But it’s much more than driving.

Priced at $2,260, the program also includes exclusive hotel accommodations and restaurants that have been hand-picked for the adventure. In addition, there’s an English-speaking tour guide on hand who follows the group in a support vehicle to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
