Mercedes Unveils G500: 4×4 Version of 6×6 Version of 4×4 G63
Remember when we told you that Mercedes had decided to build a 4×4 version of the company’s 6×6 version of the 4×4 G63? Well, Mercedes has finally dropped the curtain on the new truck, and it looks absolutely beefy.
According to Mercedes, many of their customers were intrigued by the concept of the 6×6 G63, but they felt that the two extra wheels were a bit unnecessary. So what did the company do? They essentially took the same high-riding military-grade chassis and just lopped off the back two wheels.
If you are confused by the whole 4×4 to a 6×6 back to a 4×4 thing, you’re not alone. Why didn’t Mercedes just beef up the regular G63 4×4?
Who knows. But in reality, all of that confusion really doesn’t matter. Why? Because the G500 4×4 looks like it could drive to Everest, ascend the massive mountain, then drive to the local pub without any worry at all.
Not all good things have to make sense, right?
