New Meets Old in This Tale of 50-year Mercedes Ownership
The tale of a Mercedes and its owner can be a long and loving one. With cars built as well as many of these cars are, there is no shortage of owners who still have their cars decades later. This is the tale of one such machine.
MBWorld member, 49erPV, recently posted up in the W205 thread about his brand new C300. What makes this special is that this is the second Mercedes that 49erPV has ever owned. His first was a 1969 280SL that was purchased before man had even walked on the moon. And 49erPV still has it, and it is still 100-percent original.
That amazing photo you see above is 49erPV’s driveway, and these are his two prized possessions. In a world rife with change and uncertainty, it sure is nice to see one legacy that is so strong. In honor of the length of ownership and care that went into the SL, combined with a hearty congratulations on the new C-Class, we’re making this photo the MBWorld Photo of the Week.
