Oh, You Got New Rims. Let Me Put Some Glasses On.
I got sent this a little bit ago, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Part of me is just kind of revolted that the CLS was defaced this way. It’s not that I don’t like the paint, or even the wheels. It’s more about the color difference between the car and those rims. My head and eyes just can’t compute the two together.
And then on the other hand, I really, really dig them. Hell, I dig the entire package. The balls on this dude to shoe this car this way is just ridiculous. I can definitely say I will never see another CLS with rims like this, and that is worthy of praise.
As I keep looking at the picture, it’s becoming easier to compute the two together, and it all starts to make more sense. While it’s not my thing, I think the car would look better in a darker color with these wheels. At least we’re not dealing with the standard black wheels that are so ubiquitous these days.
