Hey now MBWorld! I’m sorry I haven’t brought you a picture of the week for the past few weeks. Tomorrow I will return with your regularly scheduled posting.
This Thursday morning, I bring you a video-of-the week to make up for the posts that were M.I.A. Here is a Mercedes-Benz you’re not accustomed to seeing about town. Think you can guess what it is after the description? Here are the clues: This Benz has an inline 4 cylinder with twin overhead cams which makes 210HP at 6000RPM. Depending upon gearing, the car will reach 60mph in 3 seconds and exceed 160mph. It’s got a 6 speed sequential gearbox and will lose 80mph of speed in a tick less than 3 seconds.
It’s the new S-Class!
I’m only kidding. The car described above is a Formula 3 racer that has had its engine supplied by Mercedes-Benz.
They are fantastically loud, and blindingly fast, and on a circuit like Macau’s Guia, they’re the perfect kit. The podium for the 59th annual running of the Macau race had the Volkswagen powered car of Antonio Felix da Costa on the top step, but the 2nd and 3rd place finishers were Mercedes-Benz powered.
Make sure HD is on and turn the volume to 11. That’s really the only way you want to experience this video.
