Photos of the Week: From a Corolla to a C-Class

There are few better feelings in life than moving up to a higher class of automobile. That’s what has happened to forum member “Andriy242”. Andriy recently sold his Toyota Corolla; a car he had been driving since he was 18 years old. Now, at the ripe-old age of 23, he owns the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C300 you see above; in fact, he just picked up the car today. Congratulations on the upgrade, Andriy.

As you can imagine, Andriy is over the moon about his C-Class purchase. I absolutely love seeing how happy these upgrades make people. They are some of my favorite things to write about.

But I also have to give props to Andriy on his Corolla; most Toyota Corollas have personalities akin to electric nose clippers. That’s not the case with Andriy’s old car. Those yellow fog lights remind me of Ali G’s sunglasses. Respect.

Upgrading from a Corolla to a C-Class is pretty significant, but I’ve seen even more drastic upgrades. I once wrote a story on Corvette Forum about a guy who upgraded from a Saturn Ion to a Corvette. What’s the most divergent automotive upgrade you’ve ever seen? Pinto to a Porsche, anyone?
