Rebellion Automotive Stokes the Fire in an A45 AMG
The A45 AMG is a potent little pug of a car. It’s tiny, snappy, and has the ability to rip your Achilles tendons out if it so chooses. However, it’s not exactly what you’d call amazingly fast. Sure, it’s peppy, but not really fast. Well, thanks to Rebellion Automotive and their new upgrade kit, that all might change.
According to a MBWorld thread started by Matt@Rebellion, the team was just out testing their new stage two tune at Vmax 200. Apparently their amped-up A45 generates some impressive numbers. With launch mode engaged, 0-60 falls to just 3.4 seconds. 0-100 takes only 8.4.
Now, just to be clear, those are right up there with Lamborghini Reventon times. And that Italian stallion has a massive naturally aspirated V12.
Rebellion Automotive accomplish this feat by pulling the speed limiter, an ECU flash, a 4in downpipe, 3in midpipe, and a 4in intake. Rather impressive when you consider all they’re doing is letting the little A45 AMG breathe a bit better. If this is what they can do with an A45 AMG, we’re definitely excited to see what’s next from Rebellion.
