The SLS AMG Black Series is probably one of the most hardcore cars Mercedes has ever built. It looks mean, it sounds mean, and it drives like it hates its own rear tires. If you don’t think the car is quite hardcore enough, though, RENNtech can help you out with that, providing a number of tuning options. This particular car has a set of exhaust headers and an ECU tune, which is pretty calm by their standards. The dyno output numbers are hardly earth shattering, but it sure does sound like a stark-raving lunatic drives it. This is a Black Series car that finally sounds even meaner than it looks.

It’s difficult to tell from the video, as there is no voiceover or explanation of what we’re looking at, but from what I can decipher, the car turned the dyno rollers to the tune of 513.85 horsepower completely stock, then after the exhaust modification and an ECU flash, it made a jump up to 547.94. With a stock factory power rating of nearly 630 horsepower, I certainly would have expected more, but it’s still impressive in any case. I know I wouldn’t mind shredding those rear tires to bits on a long series of drifts and burnouts.
