We’ve already been privy to what Weistech has in store for the new AMG GT S, but now one of its major competitors, Renntech, has joined the fray by releasing their stage one package. Called the R1 Package, Renntech boosts the AMG GT S’s horsepower by 65 and its torque by a whopping 110 lb-ft. That means the new Renntech-tuned AMG GT S makes 611 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque. In other words, biblically fast.

That horsepower jump is thanks to a new ECU tune, a custom exhaust, and a few other smaller bits that Renntech hasn’t disclosed yet. What’s even better is that this same R1 Package also works for the new C63 AMG, which uses the same 4.0-liter engine that the AMG GT S uses.

What also hasn’t been disclosed yet is how much the package will cost consumers, but figuring that these are $100,000 cars and that tuning these machines takes time and money, don’t expect them to be anywhere near cheap.
