Revisiting the Mercedes-Benz 2013 Star Studded Super Bowl Ad

It’s been a few weeks since the Super Bowl, and its equally anticipated commercials, aired. During the game, Mercedes- Benz ran a short starring Willem Dafoe, Kate Upton, Usher, and newcomer Sebastian Deacon aimed at highlighting the glamorous, and seductive, lifestyle that accompanies Mercedes ownership. As the devil, Dafoe tempts a young Deacon but is foiled at the last minute when the price of a new 2014 CLA is revealed to start at $29,900, a price even a young sloppy-haired everyman can afford.

Slightly shorter than the line-ups smallest and cheapest C-Class sedan, the new CLA will be available starting in September 2013. Car talk aside, I could have done without the clichés of celebrity luxury but Dafoe as the devil with embellished Illuminati/Masonic rings?

Forget the car, I’d sell my soul to him in a heartbeat.
