RIP: A Moment of Silence for this C55 AMG
It’s never fun losing a friend, a coworker, or the thing that gave you so much joy, but these things tend to happen, as with our forum member Richardmozis and his 2005 C55 AMG. A few days ago, the car was working fine, but then someone hit him and completely totaled the once-pristine car. RIP.
The engine was forced upwards, and the dash and steering rack were officially rendered “screwed up”. Essentially, it’s dead. It is sad to see the car go, especially because even in the pictures of the aftermath, the car still looks fantastic for a cadaver.
We’re glad he’s OK, but it is definitely sad to see this wonderful piece of German engineering go to the scrapyard. The upside: he’s thinking about upgrading to an E55 AMG!
