We’ve caught the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG for the first time undergoing some handling tests in southern Europe. The car is camouflaged at the front only, despite the fact that a refresh is underway that’s as big as the one for the E-Class about a year ago.

The 2016 model year Mercedes M-Class will see some major cosmetic changes happening: A single-bar grille with a different overall look is being installed, and changes are also being made to the headlights and daytime running light bars. The character lines going the length of the car are now completely different, and the bezel of the outer wheel arch has been softened. The taillights are completely unchanged and have been left visible, but this could just be an early prototype.

As far as powertrain changes are concerned, we should see the well-known turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 developing 557 horsepower.
