Spied: New C-Class Convertible Caught Near the Nürburgring

Between your next breath and the year 2020, Mercedes-Benz will introduce 19 new models. Eight of those cars will be redesigns, and the other 11 are plopping M-B into new territory. This Mercedes-Benz C-Class Convertible is one of the cars assisting with the plopping. Mercedes plans to have this drop-top do battle with the Audi A3 and the BMW 2 Series convertibles. Why not battle the 4 Series and A5 convertibles, you ask? Mercedes has the E-Class convertible for that.

This is the first time we’ve seen the C-Class drop-top testing on public roads. Our spies caught this one wearing its finest seizure-inducing camo near the Nürburgring. I wonder if that camo is meant to induce amnesia because if I stare at it too long, I feel like I have been flashed by a Men in Black neuralyzer.

This Benz is slated for introduction next year after Mercedes-Benz unveils the nex-gen C-Class Coupe. Our sneaky spies report this would be the lowest-priced Mercedes-Benz convertible in the lineup … even cheaper than an SLK without any options. This pricing makes sense if this car is going to compete with convertibles that are one class below the C-Class.
