Star of the Show: 1960 300SL for Sale
The Mercedes 300SL is quite a special car. This one is even more so, due to it being the very show car you saw if you attended the 1960 Copenhagen Motor Show. Made specially for that show, this 300SL roadster is a wonderful Blue Gray hue, with natural color leather found inside. Amazingly, this 300SL was owned by just one family and remained safely hidden in storage for decades. It survived storage in remarkable condition, with all components present, including original build sheet paperwork.
The Canepa team have done their usual work to this 300SL. During restoration, it was found that the car is indeed 100% original, even down to the tires on the rims. Still, they did the work to rebuild and restore all components so they function as new. Over 4,000 hours of work went into this SL, and the results are stunning. If you ever wanted to own a piece of Motor Show history, This might be the one to buy. Not only is it a perfect restoration, but it is also a significant car from the catalog of Mercedes-Benz history.
