Take the Red Line: Sarto Racing’s Rocket Bunny CLK

At first look, you might mistake the over-sized, bolted-on fenders of this kit as some kind of DTM wannabe. The car looks the part of a track racer. But it isn’t. This is actually the work of the Rocket Bunny, a Japanese garage that has struck gold in the JDM tuning scene with their aggressive body kits. Think of them as the poor mans Rauh-Welt Begriff.

This kit in particular is sold through Sarto Racing. The other Rocket Bunny kits are distributed in a similar way (for instance, the FR-S kit is sold by Greddy). The rest of the car is as track focused as the body kit makes it look. The rear sits on 11″ inches of rubber for each wheel, with 10.5″ up front. Filling those massive wheels are drilled and slotted rotors from Yellow Speed Racing. Of course, there is also camber. Lots, and lots of camber.

Disappointing, they left the original, lame, 2.6-liter V6 in the engine bay. In time it’ll get swapped out, but for now this is a lion with the heart of kitten.
