#TBT: Jeremy Clarkson Reviews the Mercedes S-Class
The old adage goes: “If it’s on the new Mercedes S-Class, wait a few years and it will be on every other car on the planet.”
Radar guided cruise control? Most cars are starting to get that. Bluetooth? Every car has it. More and more airbags? Oh yes, almost every new car today has at least 11 airbags.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then consider MB flattered. Cause imitation is really what happened with most of the S-Class’s new tech throughout its entire lifespan. So for Throwback Thursday, we thought we’d celebrate such flattery with this classic Top Gear episode, which pays tribute to the often imitated S-Class.
This episode is from when Mercedes first introduced the last S-Class. And as Jeremy Clarkson correctly presumes, it definitely offers a glimpse into our automotive future.
