Straight-Cut Gears and Lovely Turbo V12 Noises Make for an Orchestra We Can Listen to All Day Long
If you were to imagine one of the wildest builds ever, a turbo V12 C-Class would probably come to mind. That crazy build actually exists, and we have had the video on repeat just to enjoy the audio.
Even though the video below is a bit on the short side, you can hear everything you need to. High-pitched whir from the starter motor is the first clue that it’s a V12, especially for those familiar with the engine’s unique start-up noise. Plumbing for the turbo dominates the inside of the car, exiting from the dash and dividing driver and passenger sides.

Manual transmissions are not exactly common in high-performance Mercedes models, but that issue is fixed with this car. Straight-cut gears add yet another layer of noise to this impressive machine, with whining and clunking. It may seem unrefined, but it works perfectly here. There’s no interior to speak of, so it’s not like you’ll be expecting Maybach quietness.
If that wasn’t enough, it has a pneumatic hand-brake for drifting. But we just want to hear more of this beast!
