Mercedes-Benz Has Been, and Likely Always Will Be, at the Forefront of Innovation.

In case you didn’t know, Mercedes-Benz has been a leader in the world of innovation long before it began pioneering electric and autonomous vehicles.

A recent report by Benz Insider details three specific areas where the German carmaker was on the forefront of automotive innovation.

One includes the internal combustion engine created by Karl Benz in 1886. The German engineer is credited with producing the first three-wheeled Motorwagen, powered by the first practical IC engine, a technology that continues to drive the world of fast cars today.

In 1931, Mercedes-Benz also developed the idea of the 4-Wheel Independent Suspension, which has substantially
improved a vehicle’s ride comfort on the road, regardless of the surface.

The invention of the anti-lock braking system is also credited to Mercedes-Benz and TELDIX, who teamed up with the carmaker in 1970 to create the game-changing technology.

The point here? Simply that when it comes to the world of automobiles, Mercedes has been, and likely always will be, at the forefront of innovation.
