Tony Stewart and Lewis Hamilton Switch Racecars

Let’s take it back to 2011 with a pair of videos. In the first video, NASCAR driver Tony Stewart takes the helm of Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes Formula One car. Stewart wastes no time in winding out the McLaren MP4-23’s Mercedes-Benz 2.4-liter V8 to its 19,000-rpm limit. You’ll hear magical sounds as the F1 car flits around Watkins Glen.

In the next video, Lewis Hamilton enjoys some seat time in Tony Stewart’s Chevrolet Impala stock car. Hamilton even treats us to a bit of drifting. Seeing Hamilton in a NASCAR is about as entertaining as seeing Richard Hammond driving an old Dodge pickup … it’s just awkwardly funny seeing Brits immersed in Americana.
