Topping Out a Mercedes CLS55 AMG and C63 AMG on the Autobahn
What happens when you bring together a CLS 55 AMG, a C63 AMG, and the Autobahn? Pure aural pleasure, that’s what.
In the video below, the two beauts meet up on what appears to be part of Germany’s deregulated section of the Autobahn. The C63 is reconfigured with E63 software and some other tasty bits. And the CLS 55 AMG is packing around 530 horsepower. Naturally aspirated versus supercharged on unrestricted roads.
So in other words: heaven to us mere mortals.
You can’t really hear the CLS55 AMG, but the distinct sound of the C63 comes in loud and clear. Sadly we also can’t really see how fast the two cars are going, due to the poor camera angles. But it definitely appears that the two cars are maxing out their respective top speeds. At one point it looks like the speedometers says the C63 is doing around 310kph, which works out to be just under 200mph.
