Wife Reunited With Mercedes Coupe for Mother’s Day

There’s nothing like a deep, longstanding love with rich history – especially when it’s centered on a classic automobile.

This one involves a 1985 red Mercedes-Benz SL coupe, which came to hold a special value for Julio Sanchez and his wife.

The history with the car dates back to the ’90s, when Sanchez’s wife owned the coupe, back when the two first started dating. Alas, time went by, dating turned to marriage, and eventually they had to sell the car.

But the deeper beauty in this Mercedes lies in Mr. Sanchez’s recent efforts put into tracking down the exact same Mercedes for his wife, in an attempt to surprise her for Mother’s Day.

According to Fox News, it took a few months and several calls to locate the car, which Sanchez eventually found in Georgia, and re-purchased. But we imagine it was well worth the effort when Sanchez’s wife saw the Mercedes in their driveway, all wrapped up in a bow.
