Suspension mods

Im sure somebody has already asked this question before but does anyone know of any suspension/handling mods available or soon to be available for the C32. I know there is a lot of engine mods coming out but what about the handling ones?

The bars are complete, we are awaiting the bushings. We should have everything by the beginning of September.

The same suspension mods applicable for other models of the w203 chasis would be applicable for the C32. Currently this includes: H&R springs, H&R cup kit, and Kleemann Speed Sensitive Suspension. Koni shocks are not yet available, and won't be until at least October.

Thanks

Ben

Re: Suspension mods

You may want to check with Renntech. They should have some suspension mods for the C32.

Koni Adjustable

Ben from your experience how will the Koni Adjustables compare to the stock C32 shocks (especially in the front)?

On mine it seems that after the H&R springs the stock shocks are a bit too close to the end of their travel and may be loosening up a bit.

This is not necessary true as the C32's are heavier than the base 320 and the additional weight is on the front of the car. Why would anyone put springs designed for a 320 or a 240 on a 32?
Renntech has developed springs only for use on the C32 and people have loved them. Check out these links

They also have bushings and a rear subframe mod to totally trick the suspension out. You cant go wrong with these.

We're not talking about the weight of a V8 versus a V6 here. We're talking about the weight of a V6 and a V6 with a supercharger. The weight difference is very minimal, 90 pounds to be exact. There is no need to compensate for 90 pounds, because if we're going to do that, we might aswell compensate for the 175+ pound driver.

As for shocks, in almost all cases, shocks go by chassis setup and average weight. If the shock is different on the C32 from Renntech, then it is because they chose to go with a stiffer one... but since we're talking about Renntech, they probably turned the knob on the koni further... the manual labor justifies the price!

Also, I highly doubt there is any difference in the shocks that Renntech sells aside from the price and name.

To be fair

If Renntech sold their springs for $300, why would anyone look further? They could basically corner the market and also attract customers to their other goodies. When they price them at $500 plus, well... lets just say competition comes into play. Effectively they made a conscious decision to attract outside competition by making what other companies felt are large profits. Nobody is at fault, just the way the strategy/game was decided to be played.
