2000 CLK 430
How to adjust the steering wheel

I tried pulling on that lever under the steering column and nothing happens...how to you extend that thing out?

Push / Pull like a **** - it'll move, trust me. There's no up and down adjustment but there's "telescoping" adjustment.

Gee - I mean push/pull ON YOUR STEERING WHEEL after you gently pull out the little lever under the steering wheel....

thanks lowphat...it worked...i guess i needed to have the car turned on, cuz i was trying it without the key and when i pulled the lever and tried to pull the steering wheel...it didnt budge, but when i started the car, it telescoped with ease. thanks man

too bad we can't lower or raise the darn steering wheel.

no telescoping option which could be retrofitted so that we could move it up and down besides back and forth

What part needs to be replaced?
