190e Swaps and Parts??

I was wondering what kind of different motor swaps can be fitted into my 1989 190e. Also what kinda suspension setups can you run?

How much money do you have to spend? Everything from Toyota Supra Turbos to Ford V-8's have been "hooked up" inside W201s.

well i have enough to do what ever. I was thinking about running the 2jz or 1jz in it bc it is the 2.6 190e. I was just kinda wondering how i would go about the wiring for it.

Well, then you're all set. Just a heads up, I think there are Nissan Z-car differentials that can be modified to fit and handle the torque. Best of luck with the swap.

Nope, the rear subframe is specific to the W201; the front suspension can interchange parts from the W124 and similar. You can get very good results by doing what AMG used to do, raid the parts bin from the larger cars. For instance, the R129 coil springs can be cut to proper height and will give you the stiffest/highest rate springs; brake rotors and calipers from the 400E/500E/C32 can be fitted with the proper wheels to clear; sway bars from the V-8 sedans are commonly fitted in the front but have to have beefed up mounting brackets.

Ebay or classifieds for the Euro headlights. The most common bodykit to come by is the 16V kit (and besides the EVO 1 the best looking IMO). Evo 2 replicas never look good, and AMG kits are rare to come by and expensive when you do.

I have a 1989 190e with 5 man spd. What motors would be interchangeable?
