Will this transmission fit?

Hey guys, i got a quick question. Ok so we just junked a 86 190D with a 2.2 in it. It had a good transmission so we yanked it out before junking. At the shop, we have a 86 190D with a 2.5 engine in it and it needs a transmission. So my question is simple. Does anyone know if the 2.2 tansmission will work in the 2.5? Thank you in advance

I have a 190D 2.2, and it has a transmission out of a 2.5. Works great.

Would a 1991 300e 2.6 transmission fit a 1989 190e 2.6?

you need to keep vacuum modulator from 2.5
it's on the driver side of the transmission. different in colour for different models.
transmission is the same for all 190s.

superdouglas Newbie Garage is empty, add now Join Date: Feb 2011 Posts: 1 Drives: 190E 2.6, 190D 2.2 , 190D 2.5, 99 S500 Grand Edition , 1994 E320 Coupe ,	2.2 Trans will fit in a 2.5 I have a 190D 2.2, and it has a transmission out of a 2.5. Works great.
