I think the best way to do it is to get a dead W201 and pull out all the wiring and A/C parts yorself, certainly cheaper than buying each part from a wrecker.
The only thing worth changing for the purposes of simplicity would be the a/c compressor control, I'd just put a switch on the dash and your own thermostat to turn it on and off based on evaporator temperature, much easier than changing the harness. |
