Sunroof Problem on 92 190E 2.3

Hello all, i am new to this forum, I am looking for some advice/ help on my 1992 Mercedes 190E 2.3 For the first time in about eight months, my sunroof that was in the tilt position mircauolsly came down. I should of stopped there, I opened the sunroof and now it is stuck I tried pushing the sunroof switch forward and it makes a loud buzzing sound. What could be the problem. Thanks for your help in advance. E's 190E P.S. what is the purpose of the tilt function on the sunroof anyway.

on the 90's models the tilt was added to allow fresh to be pulled in and escape if you had your windows open..like most sunroof today..if it's stuck open go to your trunk reach in and remove the left hand side plastic..in the top corner there is a plastic nut that you can manually turn to close the sunroof.

the "buzzing" sound could mean the motor is bad and/or it's off the track.

I have found the nut, but do not know how to turn it, is there a special tool that I need to close the sunnroof?

a standard socket
