Ignition - Non-polar plug on Contact switch
Hey guys,
in the course of removing the ignition in my '86 I unplugged a cable that I'm now not sure of how to put back together. I've no experience w/ this kind of stuff, but was very careful to be sure I was taking notes so that I wouldn't mess up the polarities of any of the wires I removed. However, I started noticing that just about every single plug was polar, and got careless towards the end when I was removing plugs from the contact switch (little black box) attached to the ignition. The ignition's all healed up now, but i can't figure out the appropriate polarity for this &*$#&*@#*)&(#@ wire, and cannot find it anywhere in the electrical diagrams provided in the service manual.
At one the end of the contact switch are 2 black wires that lead to a (polar) plug, which attaches to one br/wh wire, and one br wire. On the other (problem) end of the switch are two male prongs, which are intended to attach to a white receiver w/ one red wire, and one red/gr wire.
I can take some pictures if the description isn't clear enough. Thanks in advance for any help guys!
